Weather Outlook for the next...

1-3 days

Wednesday is looking like a mostly fine day, with showers developing through the day giving light-moderate rain in places. Temperatures will be in the 8-13c range across the whole country, and you can get an idea from a glance at the UKV model

Thursday is looking similar, and typical of a high pressure regime. Cold temperatures in the night, chilly mornings and relatively mild days, with Ireland getting temperatures of 13-14c, and the rest of the UK at 9-11c and showers in the East.

Friday also looking pretty 'boring' weatherwise, with scattered cloud and temperatures around 9-11c. Winds will be light, and there may be a few showers around.

4-7 Days

During the weekend and the beginning of the week, low pressure will likely try and edge into northern and western parts of the UK, trying to break into the firm high pressure in place. This will likely bring some blustery and especially wet days to western areas, possibly a bit more mild as well, before high pressure builds in again.

One look at the ensembles show that high pressure looks to be in charge for most of the outlook - for almost all of the UK as well. This will mean settled weather, cool at times, sunny, very dry (perhaps not what is needed with a mini drought right now!) and possibly turning a bit milder at the end of the outlook if we can tap into a southerly air flow.
